Kim Giannini-Davidson serves as Chief Trade Director of Island Barter Exchange, Inc., a premier barter community rooted in integrity, aloha spirit, and transformative opportunities for businesses and individuals across the islands and beyond.

Her journey into the world of barter began over 40 years ago in the vibrant streets of San Francisco, where she joined a boutique barter company as assistant to the CEO. With a modest salary supplemented by just $150 a month in trade dollars, she unlocked a world of luxury and convenience—dining at top restaurants, staying in elegant hotels, enjoying limo rides, and gifting family and friends unforgettable experiences like spa retreats and sunset cruises on the San Francisco Bay. That first taste of barter's magic hooked her for life.

Years later, after leading a successful executive headhunting firm for nearly two decades—following a tempting offer to relocate to Hong Kong with a banking chairman and his family—she rediscovered barter's power when reconnecting with her original mentor. Adding her family's vacation home in Hawaii to a trade portfolio opened doors to exceptional property management: skilled electricians, plumbers, designers, painters, house cleaners, and more—all traded seamlessly without draining cash reserves. The efficiency and joy it brought to managing multiple properties proved irresistible.
